Hi my name is Emmett. I am a 4 yr old Agouti Siberian Husky. I am quite the handsome boy, if I do say so myself! I do well with other dogs, big & small and I have an awesome disposition/temperament.

I come from sled dog racing lines and need to work, e.g. mushing, sledding, scootering, bikejoring, canicross, agility, nosework, rally, competition obedience, working pack dog, canine good citizen, etc. These are the kinds of activities that I need – they’re both physically and mentally challenging. You see, I am smarter than most humans and definitely more intelligent than the average husky. I got to try mushing with my Auntie Mo and love it! Daily walks are just plain boring and won’t be sufficient for me. After all, I was bred to run 100 miles a day!

And when I get bored, I finish puzzles. My favorite puzzle-game is “how to escape!” and I’m LEVEL- EXPERT at that!

Requirements – secure house & yard (fencing should be extended and topped with coyote rollers); commitment to daily physical and mental work; another canine companion and limited alone time. I love riding in the car and having adventures with my human.

The adoption process requires an initial approved Adoption Application, a home visit to ensure safety and well-being of adoptee & a separate Adoption Agreement.

NOTE: An Adoption Application does not guarantee an adoption. Adoptions are based on the best possible situation for each dog and their prospective owners. Not all breeds are right for all people and not all people are right for all breeds. Our commitment is to place these animals in the right homes so that they never again have to face re-homing. They deserve a forever family too.

Additionally, each adoption includes a one week, partial fee refundable, trial period to ensure pet is a right fit.
