Meet Ivar

Ivar displays all the charming and loving qualities quintessential to a CH kitty and is so grateful to have been rescued from the alleyway where he grew up.
He's curious, brave, and doesn't let CH define his movements or mobility. He has learned to navigate stairs going up, so a baby gate is now installed. Kitties with CH of Ivar's magnitude can't risk a misstep on the way down, as a tumble could cause injury.

He loves to follow his foster parents around the house and will anticipate their steps with friendly chirps and purrs. Ivar is very good at keeping the house on schedule with feeding times, and he voices his concerns if his meal is late. He will yell when he is hungry and even leads his foster parents to his favorite eating spot.

When meeting new people, Ivar instantly demands to know everything about them and see if they will take a moment to scratch under his chin. There is a high petting tax if you visit with this kid. He loves to be touched. No area is off limits, and he claims the King of Belly Rubs title. Nail clipping? No problem! Litterbox usage? Ditto! Damp cloth baths? Bring them on, please.

Although Ivar does very well with just human interaction, a different side comes out of him when he sees another cat. He gives a lot of attention to his foster siblings, both feline and canine. So whether you're looking for a non-threatening companion to a resident cat or cat-friendly dog, or you're in need of loyal and loving single companionship, Ivar should not be overlooked. He is more special than he is special needs.

At 9 months of age, Ivar is still growing, gaining strength, and working on bettering his coordination. He is doing remarkably well with all of it and is in excellent health. He is scheduled for neutering within the next couple of weeks, and he will be microchipped and current on vaccines by the time of adoption. Ivar is negative for both FeLV/FIV, is flea-free, and has been dewormed.

If you'd like to meet this CH wunderkind, please tell us a bit about yourself and request an adoption application. Adoption fees apply to all of our rescues so that we can continue to help more cats like Ivar live a better life.
