Description:
Hi, I'm Ramon an incredibly handsome black with salt and pepper merle/brindle (depends on who you ask) pattern Chow. I am forever grateful to C.A.R.L. for coming to my rescue and giving me the chance of finding my forever loving home.

When I first came to C.A.R.L. I was deemed fearful, but not aggressive although one could get me to be aggressive out of fear. I have made progress, but I still need work. I am very Chow-like and anyone interested in adopting/fostering me will need to have solid experience with Chows to be considered.

I am a sweet guy who initially tried to buffalo my foster siblings but backed down once they made it clear to me to knock it off. I do fine with my big foster siblings and I do not seem too excited about my small foster siblings, although I do not mix with them. At adoption events I do not get agitated about small dogs.

Cats on the other hand greatly excite me. My foster Mom has cats I can see through a security screen door, through dining room windows and through chain link fencing. I jump up on the window, on the screen door and jumps up on a dog house lid to be higher and look into the outside cat pen. It may work if the cats put in my place as my foster sibling dogs did, but from my foster Mom's observations, she thinks any cat would be in danger with me around.

I love treats and squeaky toys. I'm not really into being pet. I need patience and time when meeting new people.

They think I'd do best in an adult only home.

I was fearful at the shelter I was rescued from, but I seem to be settling in nicely in my foster home, probably because I know I will receive great care from my foster Mom. I can sleep easier now dreaming of my special someone coming to take me home.

*Thank you to Sharon for sponsoring this wonderful dog and giving him the chance for a better life.
