Meet Rita
Rita is a sweet Redbone coonhound mix who was adopted from Tennessee. She is around 10 years old. She was found as a stray and has not had the easiest life. Now she is in need of a new forever home because she does not get along with the other dog in her house. Rita is food motivated and would like a home without other dogs. She loves attention and lounging on the couch or dog bed. She is housetrained and will go to the door when she needs to go out. Because of an arthritic leg, Rita takes pain medication and joint supplements daily, She is the perfect dog for someone looking for a loyal companion without the energy of a puppy! This is a Courtesy Posting. Rita is local but not a GDHS dog.
All dogs adopted from GDHS are spayed or neutered, have vaccinations brought up to date, are on heartworm preventative, and microchipped.

GDHS reserves the right to refuse to adopt to any applicant. By requesting information on an animal and initiating the screening process, it is not a guarantee that the particular animal that you have inquired about is yours to adopt. This is only the first stage of the adoption process. GDHS does not place our animals on a "first come, first served" basis, but do adopt to the best home possible for the animal.
