Meet Tyson
Meet Tyson! Tyson was surrendered to our rescue when his owners could not afford the medications required for his epilepsy. Tyson began having seizures a few months ago and since he's been on medications, HE HAS NOT HAD ANY SEIZURES!! YAY!
He is currently eating a grain-free kibble and the prescribed medications (64.8mg phenobarbital twice a day and 500mg Keppra three times a day). We ran bloodwork which confirms that all of his levels are appropriate at this time, including a therapeutic dose of phenobarbital. Periodic bloodwork will be required as well as potentially adjusting/changing medications.
This sweet boy is 2.5 years old and weighs 68lbs. He is calm, yet playful and friendly and enjoys other dogs. He has been exposed to cats and children. He does shed when brushed and will require grooming to keep his coat looking nice.
Tyson is fully house trained and barks to go outside. He knows some basic commands such as sit, down, come and is a fast learner. He does fairly well walking on a leash. He seems to be equally happy playing a game of tug or playing outdoors as he is napping on or near your feet or lap. If he will be left alone for any period of time closing him up in a small room with some toys or crating him would be recommended.
If you'd like to meet and possibly adopt Tyson, please visit www.3clr.org/adoption-process to read through our requirements and processes.
Adoption Fee: $350, which includes spay/neuter, age-appropriate vaccinations, up-to-date monthly heartworm preventative, negative heartworm test and microchip with lifetime enrollment.
