Abby Chesapeake Bay Retriever Mix Appleton, WI

Abby is a very energetic 2 1/2 year old female Chesapeake Bay Retriever and Kelpie mix.(Please read up on this breed before applying) Abby is very typical of both breeds. She is energetic,skiddish of strangers,a bit territorial and very loving of her people. She loves other dogs and plays well with dogs of all sizes.

Abby is very fearful of kids and strangers so no children please.. Abby will need a backyard with a 6 foot privacy fence and a family that will continue to socialize her with classes, daycare and proper introductions. Abby is very treat motivated and if a stranger offers treats appropriately (no eye contact and ignores her) she will warm up to them relatively quickly and play fetch. She LOVES to play fetch.

Abby would be a great agility dog running and/or hiking partner. Abby will always need a family that will socialize her with strangers and manage her stranger-danger.

Abby is house broken,crate trained and a very good house dog. She loves to have her own space in the house and is relatively independent when she is comfortable and confident in the her surroundings.

Abby would do best in a home with active adults. She would be fine with older children (high school). She definitely needs a 6? high privacy fence as she is very athletic and can jump VERY high. Abby is daycare approved at Fun Fur Pets in La Crosse! In fact she LOVES daycare and would do great if her family continues to take her for socialization and to burn some of her energy! Maybe she can find a home in the LaCrosse area and continue to go to day care at FFP.
