Meet Charlie--Application Pending
Charlie is currently living in a foster home. Please submit an application to meet him and we can then arrange an introduction with his foster family.
Charlie is the sweetest little guy! He does take a little time adjusting to new people, so he needs a patient home where he can come out of his shell. Once he does, he will love you forever! He has made huge improvements in his current foster home.
When we first picked up Charlie he was very skittish and wouldn't let us near him. After 3-4 days he warmed up to us and now jumps all over us when we come home! He's learned how to sit for a treat, and though he had a few accidents at first, he is now housebroken. He loves going on walks with our dog Alfie. As long as it's not dark out, then he'd rather stay inside. He follows Alfie around and looks up to him for guidance. He also follows me all around the house, making sure I never leave his sight. He’s still very timid of strangers and loud noises, though. I think once he's over his heartworm he'll be a great running buddy. He is a super fast runner!
He would do best in a house with another small dog to learn from. He is fine around cats as well. He's a total sweetheart!
Charlie is about a year old and around 13 lbs. He is now neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. He’s heartworm positive and undergoing treatment for that but can be adopted at any time; the rescue will continue to cover the cost of treatment at our veterinarian. Charlie's adoption fee is $300 and if interested you can access our application at: http://www.onetail.org/adoption/apply/
