Bella: Adopted! Border Collie & Airedale Terrier Mix Kansas City, KS

Date of birth: 5/2014

7/13/2017: Bella is super cute girl with a black and white scruffy coat. She looks like she could be a mix of Border Collie and some type of wirehair terrier such as Airedale. She is 3 years old. Bella is very sweet natured. She gets along well with other dogs and likes playing with other dogs. She’s lived with dogs of all sizes in the past. She likes to play fetch and frisbee and she’s athletic. Her previous owner said that Bella would jump a standard chain link fence if left unsupervised.

Bella is smart and knows several commands and also some tricks such as balancing a treat on her nose. She loves car rides and has gone on trips with her previous owner. He’d take her to the lake and she likes boat rides and fishing.

Bella is house trained and crate trained. Her previous owner said that she can be destructive in the house if left alone and not crated. She was surrendered because her person is traveling a lot with work and working long hours and doesn’t feel that it’s fair for Bella to be kenneled or boarded as much as he’s having to do. Bella weighs 48 lbs and has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and tested for heartworms.

> Our goal is to send you home with a healthy pet and any information and support you may need to help your new pet adjust to his or her new home. All of our dogs & puppies have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, treated for fleas & ticks, tested for heartworms (7 mo. and over), and are on monthly heartworm preventative. Puppies who are too young to receive all the necessary puppy boosters and/or first rabies shot may be brought back to us for those vaccines at no extra charge. You will also receive a leash, collar, coupons for pet supplies and services, toys, and educational materials. And we'll give your dog a bath before he or she goes home!

> Please note that we prefer and may require a fenced yard for many of our dogs. Exceptions are made on an individual basis depending on the dog's needs, the person's dog experience, the dog's and person's activity levels, home environment and other factors.

> An application is required to adopt a pet and applicants must meet our adoption requirements. If you decide you'd like to adopt one of our dogs, we reserve the pet for you but we generally don't send the dog home with you that same day.
