Duke German Shepherd Dog & Siberian Husky Mix Palgrave, ON

Meet Duke, a 3+ year old handsome male German Shepherd/Husky mix. Duke is very sweet and quite an affectionate dog who just loves everyone he meets. He loves to snuggle up for cuddles and loves attention from his people. He loves other dogs too and would do well in home with another dog, but this dog would need to be able to match his rough play. Duke has lived with cats, but we have not cat tested him ourselves. Duke has no tail and his spine is slightly curved, he walks with his back end a little tucked in. We suspect this is a birth defect, but this does not affect his ability to walk or function, he still bounces around like a happy puppy. So far we have seen Duke cannot go a full 8 hour day alone and shows some anxiety, he is really calm and relaxed when his caregiver is home or he has the company of another dog. He does pull on leash and will need some training, but luckily he is also food motivated. He knows sit, stay, wait and his recall is pretty good most times.He really likes to explore and will do best in a home with a fenced in yard. Duke is neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped.
