Meet Ava
Hi everyone my name is Ava. I am 6 years old, and I was surrendered to the rescue because my family didn't have time for me anymore and I was left outside, where I jumped my fence frequently because I was bored and ignored.
So yes, I am an acrobat. I am able to scale a 5-foot fence, and can climb a privacy fence to get to someone on the other side that I want to see.. But it's never to hurt anyone, it's always because I am super excited and just want to go to say hello! I do come right back.... But my foster mom says, for this reason, the rescue only wants me going to someone with a privacy height fence that will not leave my outside unattended... because I tend to get into trouble when I do.
I like to be the queen in charge, and I am intimidated by dogs bigger than me. I do well with some dogs and not others. Proper intros are key with me. I live with a pittie mix male and a mastiff puppy and get along well with both of them, but I wasn't a fan of the St. Bernard female that came to live with us briefly and made it known I wasn't a fan. I absolutely love playing with Duke the pittie though, he's my best bud.
Cats... well... cats are a different story. Though I live with them, I LOVE to chase them... they are a fun game of catch to me. My foster mom says I would do best in a home without them.
Last year, the good folks at NWFLGDR put me through surgery to repair a torn ACL, and now I'm doing fantastic. You'd never even know I had surgery, and my leg feels so much better.
I'm a super sweet girl who can be a little shy at first with humans but warm up quickly. My beautiful eyes tend to get me whatever I want.
Could I complete your family?
