GAUGE IS AVAILABLE FOR FOSTER OR ADOPTION

Gauge is looking for an adoptive or foster home. This goofy brindle beauty is currently waiting at West Valley Humane Society for his forever family to come adopt him. He is two years old, and working on gaining some much needed weight. Gauge would love a family without young children, who will take him out on adventures to keep him active. He does get along with other pups, but will require a meet and greet prior to adoption. Gauge will melt your heart with all of his floppy frolicking, and silly energy. For more information, or to meet Gauge head out to West Valley Humane Society. If you are interested in FOSTERING or ADOPTING any of the pups fill out the appropriate application on boisebullybreedreacue.com, or email the rescue at boisebbr@gmail.com

Guage is such a fun dog! He is energetic, goofy and has a lot of positive energy. He likes to play and explore and loves himself some belly rubs. He was an absolute joy to hang out with!

The West Valley Humane Society located at 5801 Graye Lane in Caldwell has a lot of information on him below:

GUAGE is a 2 year old male Pit Bull Terrier mix who was recently surrendered to the shelter through no fault of his own. He weighs 49 pounds. HE IS HOUSETRAINED! He knows the sit and lay down commands and likes treats. He is strong on the leash, so make sure you have a capable person holding onto him. It may be he just hasn't had enough leash experience. Continue to reinforce his leash manners and you enjoy nice walks together. He does react a bit to other dogs when outside, but is reported to get along with most dogs. HE WILL NEED A CAT FREE HOME. He will need a home with no children or a home with older respectful children. He was reported to be frightened of children. He is said to prefer men, however, we have female staff and volunteers here and will observe him with them. That in no way implies he won't do well with women. He loves having his tummy rubbed. He is an active and energetic boy and will need a securely fenced yard so that he can run and play safely. He will need a tall (6 foot or higher) fence as he is able to climb fences. Make sure there are not footholds or objects he can climb up on to help propel himself over. He may benefit from crate training. He is said to have separation anxiety and will chew on things when left alone. Make sure he has a good supply of safe chew toys to keep himself occupied. Separation anxiety is not uncommon and we have handouts and information. Please talk with our staff and adoption counselor. Come in and meet this wonderful boy. He is so deserving of a forever home. As always, bring in the whole family and other household dogs for a meet and greet prior to adoption. His adoption package includes updated vaccinations, a micro-chip, and neuter OR FILL OUT A PRE-ADOPTION QUESTIONNAIRE located at www.boisebullybreedrescue.com

For more information on foster or adoption please refer to: www.boisebullybreedrescue.com POLICY SECTION and fill out and submit the BBBR Foster or Pre-Adopt application.
