Teddy #3 Golden Retriever & Basset Hound Mix Brockport, NY

We found him in a shelter in NC and his time was up - he was abandoned and surrendered at the same time. I spoke directly to the dog warden who spoke with the person who handed him to her. Apparently she was a friend was baby sitting him and the original owner would not answer her calls to pick him up. The dog warden said everyone loved him at the shelter and when we said we would take him they were happy. He came from a very rural country shelter with no hope of getting out. We were pleased to take him into our program as so many folks up here in the north would love this 44 lbs short legged wonderful boy.

The foster home states he is great. Everyone at the vet's office thought he was fabulous. His pilot who flew him here loved him. His foster home said he is a hit in her neighborhood and everyone comes to the street edge to say hello as he is walked by. He loves walking and doing well on a leash. He has personality plus and most Golden Retrievers do! He is mixed with Bassett hound as he has short legs and we are sure of the cross because the dog warden knows who had him before he was abandoned .

Fenced in yard with traditional fencing in Buffalo, Rochester or Syracuse, NY.
Children if in the home should be 10 years for our large dogs. We would consider electric fence - maybe... if the situation sounds like good. A vet reference is required and will be verified as well as the applicant should be a home owner.
