Meet Little Miss Ruby Sunshine

Ruby is a dog who naturally puts a smile on your face, no matter what. She is such a fun little ball of sunshine! Ruby is a peppy red-head who would thrive with normal exercise. She doesn’t need anything out of the ordinary, just more than life in a kennel allows. Once she gets her run in, she feels great! And even though she is active, she is very calm while waiting in her kennel and settles in wonderfully.

Ruby is friendly and well-socialized, but still sensitive and modest. She is so sweet and absolutely adores her people. She is the most affectionate, warm, snuggly dog. Ruby is very connected to you, loyal, and intuitive. She will pour all of her love into you and you’ll know you have a best friend for life. Ruby loves spending time with her people. Ruby enjoys a brief run or some off leash play, a trail walk, joining you on adventures, chilling with you, and just lying around with you. And Ruby loves toys!

Ruby minds well, is respectful, and is smart and trainable, but also has a healthy will as she is a very smart girl. She also sometimes gets excited on leash, but she has been doing wonderfully and loves to trot with a toy in her mouth while walking! Because Ruby is so intelligent, sensitive and intuitive, she thrives with people who are natural leaders for her and would flourish with experienced owners. Ruby learns best through firm but fair training, consistency, and rewards.

Ruby does well with other dogs and enjoys doggy playgroups where she is a superstar. We have seen different reactions to cats so are unsure of how she would be with cats. Ruby does wonderful with our trained Junior Volunteers (aged 12+), but she be really physically affectionate and excitable, so we aren’t sure about younger kids.

Ruby Sunshine is a pretty, sleek dog with the brightest eyes and the sweetest, truest smile. She is a sweet, fun dog who is ready to be your best friend and heart-dog. Ruby spreads sunshine wherever she goes. Ruby is believed to be an APBT mix, about 3 years old and weighs 60 pounds. Ruby is spayed, up to date on vaccines and preventatives, microchipped, and heartworm tested negative.
