Meet Boone

Meet Boone, a Treeing Walker Coonhound.
Boone was found limping down a road in a terrible thunderstorm. He was taken in and his injuries of his paw pads being torn off ( probably from running so long) were attended to. Ads were placed all over the area looking for his owners, yet he was not claimed. So now Boone is looking for a forever home with someone that has the time, patience, and love to give to this young dog. Boone is about nine months to one year of age. He is a very sweet dog who loves attention. He has been introduced to the cat of the household and has shown no aggression towards it. He has been hanging out with other dogs both male and female and has been fine with them. Most of all he loves people!! He isn’t cut out for hunting as he has a fear of loud noises such as thunder and gun fire and will bolt so staying on leash is a must!! He is crate trained and as far as hound dogs go, pretty quiet. Boone isn’t overly active but would be a good hiking partner. At the same time, he can just be happy to hang out and get attention or lying out in the sun. He has a good nose on him and would even make for a good scent detection dog or SAR K-9. He would love a fenced in yard to hang out in that is minimum of six feet and someone to love him. For more information on Boone, please email our friend, Lauren Paterson at zuniwarrior1@gmail.com with the subject line Regarding Boone. Lauren is working with him on household manners. He will be neutered in the next couple of weeks.
