Here's Maggie! This beautiful girl is a retriever mix -- we think maybe flat-coated retriever -- who has the shiniest softest black fur. Everybody loves to pet her! Maggie is ecstatic to go for long walks, play with other dogs, ride in the car, and chase after squeaky toys. She is 18-20 months old and about 50 pounds, and she's a smart girl who knows several commands including sit, down, watch me, and leave it. Maggie rarely barks (unless someone rings the doorbell, of course!) but lets out a super goofy noise -- "rarr-arrr-arr-arr" kind of like a pirate :) -- when you're taking too long to get the leash ready for a walk. She loves kids and is working on not jumping when excited, but because of her size and activity level, we think she would do best in a home without small children. She is a playful, active girl who would enjoy having a fairly big yard and a companion (human or canine) who likes to play as much as she does. About Canine Soulmates Rescue: Our adoption fee is $250, which includes having your dog fully vetted -- spay/neuter, vaccinations, rabies shot, heartworm testing and on monthly heartworm preventative. All dogs are microchipped, and CSR covers the cost of microchip registration for the first year. CSR adopts only to adopters in the Dallas/Fort Worth metro area. We require a home check for all of our adopters, and renters must have permission to add a dog to their lease agreement and have paid any necessary pet deposit.
