Duffy's Friends matches dogs to families within Rochester NY and certain parts of Syracuse and Buffalo. The distance is how far you are from our member to check your fence line. We are a organization that only adopts to families that own their home, have a traditional fenced yard. Traditional fence is wood, vinyl or metal and must have four sides and connected together. We also require children in the home to be 12 years of age and finally, a vet history of owning a dog in your name. The vet reference will be verified.

Darla is 6 years old this summer and was owned by a person who breed puppies. She was surrender to us as the women that bought decided she did not want to be a pet owner.
She is sweet, but shy and does not have one mean bone in her body. Most of the shyness is due to the fact she never saw anything outside of a back yard pen. We have taken her to the vet and grooming so she is now learning that a car ride is something dogs do. She came in a plane and had a first class ride from Pilots N Paws, my how her life has changed.

She is now spayed and we gave her a dental. She will be groomed shortly and has all her vaccinations and is heart worm tested.

She is learning the housebreaking and using a puppy pad. She went to her first pet adoption event and handle is wonderful! She just sat on her foster home's lap like a little trooper. She is learning to play with toys and starting to toss them in the air. Such a beautiful sight to see a dog relax and enjoy being a dog. She is a lap dog and will cuddle.
