Xena is an active snugglebug. She loves to run, and needs a house with a yard and a 6' SOLID FENCE. She's good walking on a short leash. While her foster parents taught her to sleep on the floor, she'd love to jump in bed with you, if you let her.

Xena would do best in a house with another big dog because she plays hard and needs a partner to wear her out. She would also do well with a stay-at-home family member who would take her outside, play and hang out with her. She is amazing with kids! She is so gentle with them, and gravitates towards children.

Her favorite thing besides running and playing fetch is getting belly rubs. She will lay on the floor and wait patiently for you to reward her with a nice long belly rub. After she's gotten a good romp, she'd let you snuggle her all day. Her fur is so soft, and she feels like a sheepskin rug.

Xena does have a strong prey drive, so it's best to keep her away from other small dogs in case they play too rough. NO CATS, NO SMALL ANIMALS (mice, gerbals, hamsters, Guinea pigs, BIRDS, etc.) Otherwise, she would never hurt a fly. We believe her to be between 1 and 2 years old, so she is still in her active puppy phase, but with the right home and space to tire her out, she'll be an amazing family dog.
