ITV has a special place in our hearts for senior paws. Especially those who have been loyal and loving their entire life only to be discarded like a piece of trash. We found Barnaby, a Shar Pei Mix fella, when we helped in a recent hoarding rescue operation. Barnaby was living in a small crate in a facility with over 60 dogs! Fortunately, he was rescued from those conditions and is looking forward to his new leash on life! Barnaby weighs 56 pounds. He's a large dog and appreciates being loved, but on his terms. He still has some spunk left in him, enjoys his one on one time, but also just wants time to be left alone. He still enjoys a nice leash walk, and this one on one time is special to Barnaby. Oh, and our senior guy LOVES loves treats and belly rubs! Barnaby dreams of a home where he can lay, love, be loved- and never run out of tasty treats! He is more laid back now after living some years. Barnaby has been through some difficult situations and he will need to be adopted to a home without other dogs and patience to allow him time to adjust. Barnaby is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm tested. Sometimes life isn't fair. Barnaby's rough life is shown in his hair loss at the back of his body which is not expected to grow back. For Barnaby, someone let him down in a big way. He deserves to spend his golden years in a home where he will be treated like the king he is!
