Age: August is 14-years-old, but in no way does he act like it!

Good with Kids: Does well with respectful kids over the age of 12
Weight: 20 pounds
August is a happy-go-lucky kind of guy. He loves people and is rather quiet for a hound. Most of the time, he is laid-back, but does have bursts of energy and zooms around the yard.
August's Story: August was surrendered to an impound shelter due to his owner's health and has since made his journey to Pet Haven.
Hobbies: August had his very own recliner chair at his previous home and loved napping and snuggling on it. Now, he still enjoys taking a snooze on the couch or in a person’s lap.
Kennel and House-Trained: August is both kennel and house-trained.
Activity Level: He has a low energy level with his favorite activity being napping under the sun.
Who August Lives with: August lives with two senior women that run a doggie daycare out of their home. They also have a 12-year-old Springer, Poodle mix.
August’s Ideal Family: He loves to be around people, however, he would not do well with little kids. August would love someone that was home at least part-time. And a fenced in yard would give August the opportunity to explore with his nose to the ground!
August will be attending Pet Haven's adoption events. His adoption fee is $100 (through August 19th) ) and includes spay/neuter, heartworm check, current vaccinations, and microchip and registration.
Due to post-adoption services provided, it is Pet Haven's policy to only place dogs into homes within a 60-mile radius of the Twin Cities area.
