Meet Daisy Mae

Daisy Mae is a 3 year old yellow Labrador mix who first came into rescue when her owner passed away. Daisy is a very loyal girl to her person, and quickly becomes attached.

Daisy can be picky when it comes to canine friends, particularly small dogs. We feel she would be best as the only dog in the home.

Daisy will pull on the leash when out walking, and would definitely benefit from the use of a harness or gentle leader. She is housebroken, but needs to keep to a routine in order to avoid accidents. She has no food or toy aggression toward people, but she does sometimes display this behavior around other dogs, so she should be fed separately if around other pups.

Daisy has some separation anxiety, and tends to bark when left alone. She will also sometimes bark at new people coming into the home. She has been going to work with her foster mom, and has been interacting with strangers on a daily basis. Her foster mom feels that this is helping a lot.

Daisy Mae loves to go for walks and to the beach. Daisy would be happiest in a home with a confident leader, who will provide the structure and routine that she craves. A fenced-in yard would be ideal.

Daisy Mae is being fostered in Maine. She is up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed, and heartworm negative. She weighs approximately 65 lbs.
