Princess Leia- German Shepherd Dog Mix Fredonia, WI

Hi My name is Princess Leia. I am a 2 year old white german shepherd from Chicago, IL. I was on the run for months throughout winter and a kind soul finally caught me after several attempts. My previous owner was contacted due to the address attached to my chip number and he denied that I was his dog.

White Paws German Shepherd Rescue was contacted and was able to get me transport to my first foster home.

My foster family has taught me that not all humans are bad. I am feeling love, living in a home with other fur siblings and humans and best of all I don't have to search for my food or a warm place to sleep. I can actually sleep soundly with no need to keep one eye open for protection. I never knew life could be this good!

I go on these things called walks, can I say AMAZING! It's not that I haven't smelled all the smells of the outside world but being able to share it with my human means so much to me.

I don't mind being on a leash because you are holding the other end of the leash. I also love having a back yard with a fence so I can run around and play with my fur siblings.

My favorite human treat is string cheese and I love to cuddle when I feel safe with my humans.

I am experiencing something new being in a household and having a family who cares for me. I am slow to accept affection but if you give me time and let me come to you, I will be loyal to you for life. I don't like being crated but am working on it in my foster home. They are teaching me this can be a safe place. This training will help me relax more while my people are away. to pay for it.

My foster mom says I am very sweet and need a family environment with another dog who can teach me how to behave in the house. I need humans who will also teach me what they expect from me and more importantly that they will keep me safe. I am spayed, up to date on shots, on heart worm and flea preventative, microchipped, house trained and leash trained. My leaders should be patient but yet take the time to train me. I am a very smart pup and will take your lead. I am good with kids, cats and other dogs.

Puppies, under 1 year - $350.00
Dog's 1-7 - $300.00
Senior's - $150.00

All our dogs are Vet checked, spayed/neutered, current on all shots, heart worm checked and on preventative before being adopted out, and will come with a Health Certificate. We look for the best possible families for them, so please be patient with our adoption process.
