Brann Spaniel & Irish Setter Mix Cincinnati, OH

Brann is a frosty-face beauty who made her way to STAF when her owner decided she no longer had time to spend with her. Brann had been loving living in her home, but when her owner began staying away longer and longer each day, Brann became very unhappy and that’s when her owner decided she no longer wanted Brann and brought her to STAF. We love this girl and are so thankful to have Brann with us.

When Brann was brought to STAF her confusion was evident and she stared at everyone with the “wait a minute, this isn’t my home” look that we have unfortunately seen so many times before. But like almost every owner-surrender before her, Brann settled in nicely and soaked up all the petting, positive attention and long happy walks she had been missing.
Brann has done well at daycare (she’s very chill with dogs she meets), does well with cats and even though she hasn’t been at STAF very long, Brann quickly became a staple-dog that the volunteers immediately felt comfortable taking to events. Events where there are lots of people, dogs and children don’t faze our Miss Brannie:o)

Brann loves her canine friends and will probably do best in a home where she has furry friends to keep her company as well as a home that is not constantly gone for extended hours each day. Brann is most likely not a fit for a home looking for a car-travel companion since she does occasionally have bouts of not feeling great in the car. But she has also had many long car rides without issue. This is something we see a lot of a STAF and know that there are very easy ways to deal with and work through this.

Well, saying we’re smitten with this girl is obviously an understatement :) So, we have made it a priority to find this soulful-doe-eyed-will-love-you-till-the-day-she-crosses-the-bridge canine best friend, her dream home of a lifetime. The home she always deserved.

Did we mention she has the softest fur EVER!

All of our animals are spayed/neutered and current on shots.
You must complete an application at the shelter prior to meeting any of our animals. (Sorry--our application is not available on-line or via email.)
We do not do same-day adoptions; we ask that you return for a follow-up visit before taking an animal home.
We require a fenced yard (sorry--no invisible fences) for homes with children under age 11.
We do request vet and personal references.
At this time, we are only able to consider applicants within 150 miles of Cincinnati.
