Duffy Rabbit Harlequin & Bunny Rabbit Mix Forest Hills, NY

Duffy is a young Harlequin type breed bunny of about no more than 1-2 years. He was recently neutered and received a good bill of health from the Long Island Bird and Exotics Vet Clinic.

Duffy was found hanging out with a wild bunny within a gated community in Suffolk. A group of concerned rescuers went out to rescue Duffy and save him.

Duffy prefers healthy foods such as mixed greens over sweet treats like fruits. He eagerly eats his pellets up and chomps on some hay throughout the day.

When people walk past his pen Duffy comes over to greet them. He also is litter box trained and keeps his pen clean and decorated to his taste. Duffy moves his hide-box and toys around the pen with his teeth. If you pick one of his toys up he will take it from you and put it down. Duffy has spunk when we let him run around the room and may kick up his hind legs with joy. But, he also enjoys lounging and grooming a lot. Duffy is also very curious and likes to investigate his area and humans... checking out their legs, hands, arms, feet, etc.
He is comfortable around people and likes to be pet gently. He is easy to handle and we had no problem getting him in the carrier to go to the vet or giving him medicine after his neuter. His medicine must have tasted good because he drank from the syringe like it was a treat.

Duffy has an inquisitive personality and it is very relaxing to just sit and hang out with him. After he checks you out he will sit still to be petted. He is soft, curious and a sweet little guy who will steal your heart!
