Hi y'all! Daisy Doodle here. I'm still looking for my forever home. Where are you?
Here is a little bit of my backstory: I was purchased as a puppy and lived all of my 11 years with the same mommy. Unfortunately my mommy fell on hard times physically and emotionally and after 11 years she had to make the painful decision to give me up.
Because my mommy was unwell, my physical and emotional health deteriorated. When I joined SCMR my hair had to be shaved down, my eyes were almost gunked shut, my nails needed to be trimmed because they had curled under my pad, 95% of my teeth had to be extracted and three mammary tumors were surgically removed.
I am doing much better now! I'm looking for someone who plans on spoiling me rotten and has patience with me because I am working on my house manners. It's nothing a diaper won't solve in the meantime! I would prefer a no pet home or if there are pets, I would just prefer for them to let me be the 6.5 lb boss. Heehee.
I absolutely love humans- big and small. My day is best spent cuddling right up next to you. Oh, and a few belly rubs would be nice.
Now can I ask you to do me a favor? Can you please look at my picture and look deep into my eyes before reading what I am about to tell you? Please, humor me. Look deep into my eyes.
I am asking urgently to find my forever home because I am not a spring chicken anymore. I am 11 years old and I have cancer. Yes, cancer. One of the 3 mammary tumors removed was malignant. BUT the good news is that it is very early. It has not metastasized. I can still live several great fulfilling years. I am in the second phase of my life now and ready to settle down.
I would love nothing more than to find my forever home. Are you out there? Mommy? Daddy?
I'm being pampered and loved in Atlanta, GA.
Love, Daisy Doodle
NOTE: SCMR DOES NOT adopt to homes with children under the age of 10 years or homes with Electric Fences
Out-of-state adoptions are possible; however, the approved adoptive home is responsible for making the necessary arrangements to pick up their new little one.
