Meet James
James is a very happy go lucky young dog. Being part Malinois he is highly trainable in the right environment with people who want to stimulate his intelligence and physical abilities. He is high energy but calms down nicely, too. In one of his pictures he is poised to retrieve a ball! James loves his toys and is affectionate with his foster family. Although James doesn't want to get in to a car, once he is there, he calms right down and is ready for an adventure.
Because he is a strong and happy dog, we prefer that he go into a home with children 16 year's old or older. All adult homes are fine, too, of course :)
At night James sleeps comfortably in a crate.

"Canines of the Belgian Malinois dog breed were originally bred to be herding dogs. Today, they also work as police dogs, protection dogs, and family companions. In the hands of an experienced dog person, they are intense, intelligent and athletic companions."
