Meet Hadley

Hadley is a quiet, gentle, and sensitive cat who deserves to be spoiled rotten. Once she's comfortable with her surroundings and gets to know her people, she turns on the charm and is a little love. Until then, she can seem a little stand-offish and nuanced, but that's just her introvert being on guard. For these reasons, she would not be a suitable choice for a first-time cat owner or for a family with young children. The ideal home for Hadley would be with a veteran cat owner who understands the compassion and patience required for her to blossom.

This is not a purebred cat by any stretch. On the contrary, Hadley was born into a family of polydactyl cats, and while her litter mates got the extra toe gene, she did not. Please note that her mixed breed status lists Ragdoll only because her coat and markings are a nod to that breed. Her mother was a long-haired brown tabby with a lot of white.

For the last year, Hadley has been in a safe and loving foster home that allowed her the time she needed to adjust, working with her little by little to remind her that she really does love being doted on. She is fond of belly rubs, nibbling on fingertips, and being told how pretty she is. She is nervous about being picked up and held, so it's only done as needed. In time, she may snuggle, but only on her terms.

Hadley likes other cats very much but dislikes bullies. She'd be a wonderful companion to a cat that loves other cats. Since she grew up around a dog, a cat-friendly canine companion might be a good fit for her, but it's been over a year since she's been in the presence of a dog, so that's a bit of an unknown at this point.

Medically, Hadley is 100% in the clear. She is spayed, up to date on rabies & FVRCP vaccines, negative for FeLV/FIV, parasite-free, and microchipped. She's a hearty eater and anticipates her scheduled mealtimes with a passion, which will help in transitioning her to a new home.

If you'd like to meet Hadley, please request an adoption application. An adoption fee applies so that we can continue to help other cats in need.
