Meet Bristol
Hi, I'm Bristol! I have overcome many challenges in my short life. My foster mommy sayz i'm a survivor and a have huge love for life! I waz found without a mommy at only 1 week old and came to St. Francis to be bottle fed. As i first started eating on my own, my foster mommy noticed some quirks with my eating and that I was not gaining weight like i should. I went to the kitty doctor and they said i have something called Megaesophagus. It means my esophagus was shaped differently than normal and that was why I was having a hard time gaining weight. The doctor said to just euthanize me but my foster mommy knew that was not the right choice! She knew dogs lived just find with this condition with the help of a special feeding chair called the Bailey chair. So my foster daddy built me my own Bailey chair (we call it the Bristol chair, hehe!). And it works! It has been a long journey, but I am finally ready to find my forever family.
