Phoebe Bichon Frise Orange, CA

Phoebe is a 10 lb, sweet and joyful three year old poodle mix with enchanting light brown eyes and an adorable underbite. Funny and full of life, she’s always up for the next adventure. She LOVES people and follows her humans all over the house, bonking the back of their legs and licking their toes when they stop moving. She also adores her foster sister (a bichon mix) and is always happy to meet children during her daily walks. Phoebe is very smart and always learning new things!

Phoebe’s been through some tough times. She was found living on the street, severely underweight, she had been attacked by another dog when she was found by animal control. She’s physically recovered from her injuries, she’s regained a lot of the weight, but she can get very nervous around new dogs and has some minor separation anxiety. She’s come a long way and gets better every day, as she experiences love in her foster home. Phoebe is house-trained and walks nicely on her leash, but gets excited when she sees bunnies, birds, or other pups on her walks. She's responsive to commands both on and off leash and loves car rides. She is extremely gentle, even when taking treats (which she LOVES). Phoebe only barks or whines when she’s nervous or scared, otherwise she’s a quiet little lady. Phoebe is such a good girl and sleeps quietly on her bed through the night. She's innocent and loyal to a fault, neither particularly dominant nor submissive, and would make a lovable addition to any family. She’s happy to meet children during her daily walks. She needs a patient forever family and she’s not recommended for first time dog owners.
