Meet Waldo
Hi, my name is Waldo, and everyone here keeps telling me that I am a real sweetie, so it must be true! I even do well with cats. I am a neutered male Collie mix, and was estimated to be about 9-months-old when I was brought to the shelter on 04/09/17. I still can't decide if I want ears that stand straight up or tilt to one side just a bit, so at least for picture day, I had one of each. I also have a severe overbite which adds even more to my charm. Being unique seems to be very popular around here because my walkers get all mushy-gushy over me, and love taking me for walks around the neighborhood. I walk nicely on leash most of the time, but once in a while I get all happy and start jumping around like the playful dog I am. I have a lot of energy and will need a home that will make sure that I get plenty of exercise every day. Like all dogs that are under a year old, I will be required to attend basic obedience classes. I have a personality that is a bit reserved, but with you by my side to help me be brave, I know that I will be a good pupil. I love treats, and I already know sit, stay, and I am crate-trained. I would love to learn more because I want to make sure that I am always a well behaved member of your family, and I want to please you! I made a human smile the other day just by crawling up on her lap, and I was really glad that she wanted to cuddle with me. There is nothing better than being petted and knowing that you love me because I love you too. I will do best with a family in a quiet neighborhood. I am also quite selective as to who my dog friends are. I do have some food, toy, and rawhide aggression, so I will need a home without children. I am currently spending time in a foster home, but I would love to meet you! An appointment can easily be made to have me brought to the shelter by calling our adoption coordinators at (715) 839-4747 ext. 21. Note: Please be aware that because of the way this dog looks he may be perceived as a certain type. We want to alert you that some communities, landlords, management companies, and insurance agencies have size and breed restrictions, limits on number of pets, and/or require pet deposits or additional fees. Before adopting, we encourage all adopters to know what restrictions may apply to you.
