Colby Domestic Short Hair Ashburn, VA

Colby Jack, or Colby for short, is a sweet, gentle, and loving kitty. He will purr even when he is just lying next to you. Colby is very affectionate and loves to be petted and groomed with a brush. Colby's fur is incredibly soft like a fluffy, silky cloud, and it is so relaxing to pet him. He will roll over for belly rubs sometimes and loves his back and neck and ears petted and sratched. And he loves getting kisses on the head.

Colby likes his cuddle nap time and will curl up next to you or on your lap to rest. When it is time to play he loves various toys, especially ones that jingle and make noise or resemble mice.

Colby is especially fond of children and would love a home with kids to play and cuddle with. He is very gentle around children and is drawn to them even more than adults. At his foster home, the first person he went up to was the youngest child, 6 years old, and sat on the 10 year old's lap while still getting used to the adults. So Colby clearly has a strong affection for children. You can play with his feet and he doesn't mind. If he gets tired of something he never nips but will just get up and walk away.

He is white and orange like Colby Jack cheese, and has very distinctive orange rings on his tail. He has a very cute orange mustache on his face. His fur is more white but with some orange spots here and there.

Colby has a feral eartip, but don't let that fool you. Upon meeting him, you would never know this kitty spent any time outside of a loving home. Colby was dumped at a farm near Charlestown a couple of months ago. They reached out to a lady who does rescue in the area for help. She in turn, reached out to us for help in getting him adopted.

Colby enjoys eating wet food. When sleeping he likes a spot that is dark and quiet like a kitty condo. He is neutered, microchipped and up to date with shots. He is about 2 years old.
