READ MORE ABOUT GRACIE

Gracie is a beautiful, 2.5 year old black and silver, first generation Labradoodle girl who through no fault of her own, is now needing a new "furever" home and family. Purchased as a puppy from a local breeder, Gracie's former senior owner was forced to downsize and relocate and could not take Gracie with her. Thankfully she found her way to DRC.

UPDATE

Gracie was adopted. But was returned to DRC because her new doodle brother was having a hard time adjusting to life with another dog in the home. We have since discovered that Gracie is sight impaired due to the recent development of juvenile cataracts on both of her eyes. Veterinary specialists will surgically remove them while Gracie is in her new foster home. Her long term prognosis is OUTSTANDING.

Gracie is a delight! She has a wonderful, calm personality and temperament and quickly adjusted to the routine in her foster home. She is still young and a puppy at heart but is also calm, well-mannered and contemplative. You can see her wheels turning as she appears to be assessing each new situation before jumping in. But once she feels safe, she's a dream dog. This little girl is so loving, smart and wanting to be someone's lap dog, her foster parents have fallen in love with her.

Gracie's heartbroken former owner did an outstanding job with Gracie. When you meet her, it is very obvious that she has been a loved dog and was well taken care of. She has been well socialized with humans and other dogs and is a puppy day care pro! She is a thinker ... We like to say she is cerebral. She is extremely friendly, and is oh so gentle with people of all ages and sizes. She is fully house-trained, but could use a refresher with her commands and leash manners. She loves car rides. She is really a special little girl who is going to be an excellent companion for the right person or family.

Gracie will need an active, patient, dog-savvy, adult only home where someone is around for at least part of the day. She gets along well with other dogs in social situations but would prefer to be an ONLY DOG in he home. She will also need a yard that is surrounded by a physical fence.

Gracie is completely housebroken. She is spayed, microchipped, is UTD on all vaccines and preventatives and will be a wonderful addition to the right family.

You must be prepared for your dog to be an inside member of your family.
In most cases, a PHYSICAL FENCE IS REQUIRED in order to be considered for a DRC rescue doodle.

DRC Adoption donations typically range from: $300 - $600 and vary according to the age, health, temperament and location of each dog. Every doodle is an individual and every doodle has his/her own specific needs and requirements. Adopters are selected based on compatibility, NOT on a "first come, first serve basis. At no time does DRC ever put the desires of applicants before or above the needs and requirements of rescue doodles in our program.
