Meet Q

Q IS AVAILABLE FOR FOSTER OR ADOPTION

Thank you to BBBR Volunteers Brittany and Natalie for spending time with Q. Brittany took the captivating photo's. Brittany says:
Q is a little meatball in dog form. He is goofy and fun and full of excitement. Q doesn't let anything get him down and loves long walks and any form of play time.
Q has been doing great in dog training and is learning to control his puppy self and his manners are getting better day by day. He's such an amazing little ball of love, I can't get enough of him!

Q IS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION

Thank you to BBBR Foster Parents Shelley and Steve for fostering Q for the weekend!

We have gotten to know Q a little better after the last 2 days, and majority of it has been laughs with his zoomies and unique jump. He is always curious, loves to play, excited to see you, and his favorite ..... being touched and hugged. We have never had a fur-friend give such genuine hugs. He is a great little shadow that wants to be by your side to help out and would take a nap with you if you would let him curl up next to you. He is one of the happiest dogs that we have met.
Q IS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION OR FOSTER
Q is a 3 year old American Staffordshire Terrier/Bulldog/mix. Q has been great on pack walks with other dogs of all sizes, but would prefer a kitty free home. Volunteer notes say that Q is a happy, playful, silly boy who enjoys treats, playing with the jolly ball and knows his basic commands like “sit.” No kitties for Q. Please refer to www.boisebullybreedrescue.com and fill out an application or TEXT BBBR Boarding Facility Coordinator Alicia at 407 782-2999 for additional information. Q is in foster at Emerald Street Kennels in Boise.
Thank you to BBBR Volunteer Deanna for the update.
Q is a ham!!! He is on the smaller size but I think he is perfect! He has a beautiful brindle coloring! I know he has it in him to heel and sometimes he even does on it his own, but he is so full of pent up energy! The staff told me that when he is out in the yard they can't catch him from all the zoomies he is doing! Lol He is smart and knows sit and takes treats real gently! I think he understands "heel" and he was picking up on the "free" command! We came across a dog barking at the fence and he pulled towards it but no negative reaction and was easy to pull away and back to walking! He loves to be scratched under the chin! He doesn't give a lot of kisses, I only got one! He pulls but with consistent training he will be great on a leash! He really is a sweet dog and has a lot of potential!!!
Thank you to BBBR Volunteer and Foster Parent Lorena for the update.
I just got home from walking Samuel and Q. Wow! They are both SO sweet. Q is nothing but a love bug!! We sat on the grass before returning to Emerald Kennel and all he did was give me kisses and roll over for belly rubs! He pulled on occasions, but overall it was a great walk.
BBBR Volunteer Daniel spend time with him and says:
Q is a great puppy! He is leaps and bounds above where he was last week when he first got to Emerald Street Kennels... he is so happy and loves attention!!!Thank you to BBBR Volunteers Tasha and Kevin. They say:
He is adorable! We had a nice walk and some cuddle time in the grass. He still pulls but you can tell he wants to obey and just gets distracted. We did discover he likes to jump and climb on things as that was the first thing he did when he got near anything that could be climbed (brick wall around the school, jungle gym, bench). He is so handsome and just silly and happy. He is easy to love.
BBBR Volunteer Conor took Q to training at Good Citizen Dog. Conor says: Q was an absolute chunky monkey at class! He kinda struggled with focusing at first but once we were alone in a room he did excellent! He learned sit, stay, and down! He listened to Allysa and I very well. And Dog Trainer Lou helped him with walking on a leash as well. He did awesome in the presence of all the other dogs, definitely no growling and he didn't fixate on any dogs either. Definitely a friendly boy! Also I am completely covered in dog drool still.
