Meet Gizmo
Duffy's Friends adopts pets to families with:
Long history of owning a pet in your name with positive vet records
Children in the home must be over 12 years as we do not know if this dog lived with children before and we error on the side of caution.
Applicant must be the home owner
Fenced in yard only - traditional fencing- no electric shock fencing accepted.
Applicant must be Rochester, Buffalo or Syracuse for fence checks and home visit.
Gizmo is a great dog and deserves to have only the best home. He was brought into our vet's office by his owner who wanted him put to sleep because he was flea infested.
We are just as shocked as you are. Yes - there are still people out there they are not deserving of owning a pet. Gizmo was lucky because our vet asked if she could take the dog and send it to rescue and the owner agreed.
He is a fabulous dog and we have cleared up the skin condition that was a result of having fleas. He has been neutered by Duffy's Friends and is flea free, heart worm negative and has all his vaccinations. He will be groomed.
We think the world of this guy - he is 7 years old and is housebroken. He loves to play with dogs and will engage them to run and romp with him. He will chase a cat that is not confident so if your cat is shy this is not the dog for you.
Loves to walk on a leash - rides in a car like a dream and is a FABULOUS dog.
We are so happy to have the opportunity to give him the home he deserves.
