LORRAINE Domestic Short Hair Grand Rapids, MI

Lovely former-Crash cat Lorraine came back to us on January 9, 2020 after spending a few years as the furry member of a family who was quite fond of her. However, circumstances beyond her control prompted her return: not only did her mom develop horrible allergies to her, but the rambunctious toddler in the house did as well—and speaking of toddlers, Lorraine was NOT a fan, so she spent quite a bit of time darting outdoors to avoid interaction. In fact, our gorgeous gray and white gal (born in late 2013) took it upon herself to go on hiatus over the holidays, choosing the spend about 10 days out in the cold rather than experience the commotion Christmas with a child can bring! After her arrival back home her family decided it was best for all of them if Lorraine made her way back to Crash’s; with another baby on the way we could not have more wholeheartedly agreed. Although the consummate cuddler when just the adults were present, she craved a quiet, simpler life.
Lorraine is a darling little girl with the sweetest personality. Her transition back to shelter life has been pretty seamless. She is very happy to hang out with the other cats up on the catwalk and wait for people to come give her attention, which she soaks up like a sponge! She does great with the other cats and would probably do very well with dogs and older kids, as she actually is quite playful when the mood strikes her. She would also be fine as an only pet too, she's just that easy going.
Given her awesome attributes it is no wonder that just days after Crash’s accepted her with open arms, one of our volunteers put immediate dibs on her! So looks like our girl will be going home after her retest and booster vaccines just 4 weeks into our program. What a wonderful ending to this chapter in her life!
