Since our volunteers travel to complete home visits, we can only accept adoption applications from Chatham Kent, Windsor, Sarnia, London and points within those boundaries

What a sweet boy! Poppy has adjusted well to his foster home and his loving personality is shining through. Although initially shy, with time and patience he warms up and is happy to snuggle with his people. Poppy loves attention of any kind! He bonds more readily to adults but is now enjoying playtime with the children in his foster home. He is timid around men until they gain his trust.

Poppy is now playing with the one dog in his foster home but does not bother much with the other one.

He loves his car rides and enjoys going places and looking at the passing scenery! He enjoys short walks and is good on leash.

Poppy can not be crated as he becomes nervous and could injure himself. He has been respectful of his foster home so there is no need for a crate.

During the 3 months in his foster home, Poppy has had 2 seizures, He has been examined by a vet who feels medication is not needed at this time.

The best home for Poppy would be one where someone is often home. He gets stressed when all alone and needs his humans around him to feel secure. He sticks close to the people he trusts and is a faithful companion. He may like having a playmate in his forever home but would also enjoy lapping up all the attention as an only dog.
