Meet Albert

Albert, or “Prince” Albert as many at STAF like to call this lovely young man, came to STAF after being deserted by his “owner” at a deplorable high-kill-county-pound. But Albert didn’t let this dangerous situation ruffle his feathers. This 2-year old English Pointer has a charming, laid-back disposition and he is appreciative of every moment he has with his STAF volunteers. Albert gives off great calming vibes and is a friendly, kind dog who has a lot of love to offer that special someone:)

Albert arrived at STAF bone thin (we love to the opportunity to put weight on some of our incoming dogs?), a terrible ear infection along with an old injury to his left ear. We are happy to say that Albert is back to a healthy weight, his ear infection has cleared up and his old ear injury has healed and all that is left is a little bit of scar tissue. Albert will not let a little scar tissue or a bum ear stand in the way of him enjoying every day. Yep, Albert is the “half-full” kind of dog that we love to have at STAF.

Albert does well with other dogs and from what we have seen so far at STAF, he has done well with meeting children. The volunteers at STAF have fallen hard for this guy and we know that the family that ends up with this sweet Prince will be a very blessed family indeed!

Albert’s estimated birth date is April 2015

Please see our homepage for visiting hours and adoption details.

All of our animals are spayed/neutered and current on shots.
You must complete an application at the shelter prior to meeting any of our animals. (Sorry--our application is not available on-line or via email.)
We do not do same-day adoptions; we ask that you return for a follow-up visit before taking an animal home.
We require a fenced yard (sorry--no invisible fences) for homes with children under age 11.
We do request vet and personal references.
At this time, we are only able to consider applicants within 150 miles of Cincinnati.

Can’t adopt but want to help? You can make a difference! Our shelter is run entirely on volunteer-power and generous donations from animal-lovers like you. 100% of your contribution goes directly to caring for our 500+ furry residents. Thank you for your support.
