Odie Australian Shepherd & Norwegian Elkhound Mix Cincinnati, OH

Odie came to STAF when a wobbly-teetering 2 year old toddler became more than he could handle. Odie was never aggressive, it was just obvious to his family that the situation had become stressful for Odie and that he had become anxious. Odie always loved and was comfortable with older children. Trust us Odie, we completely understand.

Odie and his former family did meet with a trainer who said that Odie is very intelligent (is great with his basic commands) and has a lot of energy, and he really needs someone who will love him, continue to work with him, and give him a lot of exercise and attention. We agree and believe that Odie deserves this and much, much more.

In his former home Odie did great with both his canine Chihuahua-mix brother and his feline sibling as well. Odie loves taking long walks and is wonderful on leash. Odie also loves car rides, being brushed (but not his ears:o)), playing fetch and Odie loves being anywhere and everywhere if it’s with his humans.

Odie loves to love as much as he loves to be loved.

All of our animals are spayed/neutered and current on shots.
You must complete an application at the shelter prior to meeting any of our animals. (Sorry--our application is not available on-line or via email.)
We do not do same-day adoptions; we ask that you return for a follow-up visit before taking an animal home.
We require a fenced yard (sorry--no invisible fences) for homes with children under age 11.
We do request vet and personal references.
At this time, we are only able to consider applicants within 150 miles of Cincinnati.
