Meet Lucy B

Lucy B is a 1 year old, white and brindle, female Italian Greyhound mix that weighs 12 lbs. She was owner surrendered to the shelter when her owners decided they weren't ready for the responsibility of a young dog and felt they didn't have adequate room for her in their apartment. She is not much of a barker unless she senses or sees a stranger approaching. She takes a minute to warm up to strangers but is very friendly and social once she trusts them. She almost completely house-trained. She likes to snack/graze throughout the day rather than eat a meal's worth a food at once. She responds well to hand gestures for sit. come and stay. Lucy can be sensitive to raised voices but responds well to verbal commands at a normal level. She gets along great with kids according to her previous owners. She would love to find an active family/adopter that understands she needs a little more training to finish learning her manners.
