Nigel is a sweet, soulful fellow. He was rescued out of the Pasadena Humane Society at the end of January. He currently lives in a foster home with three other dogs and three cats. Nigel will do great in any home with big dog experience. Because he is a pit bull, we do think it would be best for his forever home to have power breed experience (i.e. experience with large dog breeds like Pit Bull Terriers, German Shepherds, Rottweilers, Huskies, Doberman Pinschers etc. )
A few things you should know about Nigel:
He is very much a snuggler.
He is a very good walker.
He is very polite when he plays with other dogs in supervised play groups. Be sure to watch the video his foster mom took of him before their evening walk. He is so adorbs!
He is good around cats, but interested in them. His foster mom and dad will spray a squirt bottle of water at him if he bugs the cats or tries to chase him. He is still a young dog so we believe with time and continued training, he will totally ignore the cats.
He is excellent around children. But due to his size, we think he would do best in a home with kids who are over the age of 8 years old.
He LOVES men. Just loves men. He is great with women too, but he wants to hug men he sees out on walks.
Nigel's foster parents are very experienced dog people. They are crate-training Nigel AND working with a behavior trainer to make sure he will be an ambassador for the breed. He is a lovely dog who deserves a home as loving as he is. Might that be you?
