Meet Mary Winchester- ADOPTED!

NAME: Mary Winchester

Mother to the "Supernatural" Litter

AGE/GENDER: 1 Year Old, Female

BREED: Terrier, Mix. This is not a hypo-allergenic breed.

TEMPERAMENT: Sweet, playful, snuggly

WEIGHT: 10 lbs

HOUSE TRAINING: Doing well. She does ask to go out and now understands to go to the door. However, you have to watch her as she hasn't learned to do anything besides stand in front of the door when she needs to go out.

CRATE TRAINING: She's not a fan and does complain at first. However, she is crated when away from the home and through the night. She sleeps through the night with no complaint and is fed in her crate.

OTHER DOGS: Loves other dogs her size and is quite playful with smaller dogs. However, she is a bit of a party police with larger dogs and tries to correct the bigger dogs when they play.

CATS: Not a fan of cats. I think she's scared of them moreso than aggressive. She is fostered with cats, who happen to be her size or larger.

CHILDREN: Dog-respectful children, 8 and older

ADOPTION DONATION: $375.00

HEALTH: Mary is spayed, microchipped, flea treated, dewormed, and is current on vaccines. Your adoption donation goes toward the cost of this vet care as well as other incidental costs of care. In addition, all pets adopted from Motley Zoo come with a free 30 day trial of free pet insurance provided by 24PetWatch.

HISTORY: Mary came from a hoarding home like many of our recent litters. Motley Zoo Animal Rescue was asked to find Mary a great forever family and that is exactly what we plan to do!

NOTES FROM THE FOSTER HOME: Mary Winchester is an amazingly sweet little girl. Her favorite place is by your side. She's a champion snuggler. She does no need to always be underfoot though and is content to just hang out in the same room as you if you're busy. She is very focused on being a mother at the moment, so unsure how she would be away from her pups, whether she will play with toys or not. She does play with the other dogs in the home; however, tends to only play with the smaller dogs around her size. The larger dogs make her nervous when they start running around and playing, which brings out her party police side, even when they're not even in the same room as her puppies. She is very food motivated and will go into her crate for her meals, although won't otherwise. She tends to be quiet, unless she's whining to her puppies and whining about being the crate before she settles for the night. She likes to be where the action is and likes to be where the people are. She is still young, so still puppylike, and has been seen chewing on things now that she's spending more time away from her pups. Mary is a little lovebug and will definitely share that love with her new family, as she bonds strongly with the people in the home and really enjoys giving and receiving love.

All dogs adopted from Motley Zoo come with a leash and Martingale collar (or a harness, if necessary), depending on each dog's particular needs. We also send home additional flea treatment and deworming medication for your future use.

ABOUT MOTLEY ZOO:

Motley Zoo Animal Rescue is a volunteer run, foster based, 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue organization based in Redmond, WA. Motley Zoo does not have a traditional shelter location, but instead, utilizes private foster homes which care for the animals individually, in a home environment, until a "furever" home is found.

Motley Zoo also runs "Rock Star Treatment" Dog Daycare & Training Studio in Redmond, WA which is a day-use facility and does not hold kennels of adoptable animals. The dogs there are owned animals who come to the facility while their families are at work and school so they can play and socialize in a safe environment. We dub this service our "Year-round" fundraising program which helps us support our rescue animals and the $15,000/ month vet bills we incur. This Studio location does have an Adoptable Cat Lounge, where cats may live until adoption, which is the exception to any aforementioned rules.

Please email adopt@motleyzoo.org and request an adoption application so we can get you started on the journey to finding a new, furry friend! Once you have been approved to adopt, then we can set up a meeting with the animal you have been matched with.

Thank you for considering adopting a dog in need!

Woof,

The Motley Zoo Crew
