Meet Ida - Update February 19
UPDATE - FEBRUARY 19 - Ida is doing well in foster care and her eye is looking much better. She is a very sweet, quiet/shy little dog whose main goal is just to snuggle. She is happiest curled up in a lap. Ida is pictured with a visitor who is very gentle and dog-educated and always monitored with Ida. Ida would do best with a retired person or couple who was home. Ida has been fine with all of the other dogs in her foster home. She does not seek to engage them and they are gentle with her. She would not do well with a dog who was really rambunctious.
IDA is a 4 year old Chinese Crested who is looking for a quiet, adult home. Ida has been in foster care for a week now, doing very well. Her main desire in life is to find a person to feel safe and snuggle with. She is a very small girl, under 10 lbs. Ida suffers from dry eye and she has started medication for that. Her new home will have to continue this treatment so that Ida remains pain free and the eye does not deteriorate. The cost of treatment could be anywhere from $100-$160 per month. If the eye keeps improving one of the medications may not be necessary. There may be surgical options, but at this point we are seeing if the medication can get her back to full comfort. If you are interested in Ida and able to provide for her ongoing medical needs, please fill out our application to adopt at www.cc-spca.petfinder.com
