Meet Frances

Estimated age as of 2/1/17 - 6 years
Estimated weight - 32 lbs

Looking for an absolute love bug to snuggle with every day? If so, Frances may be your gal! This gorgeous little lady loves nothing more than to cuddle up with someone and watch a movie or just nap. She has such a gentle, oh so sweet demeanor with people. She does have a playful streak from time to time and will engage in silly time with her canine companions. Overall, she is a laid back, quiet girl who just wants to be loved.

She was originally rescued in July 2016 and treated for heartworms. Her original owner condemned her to being exclusively a yard dog the first five years of her life and did not give her heartworm preventive, so Frances endured the 3 month dangerous and painful process of heartworm treatment. She's now a healthy girl and has been vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped.

Frances is accustomed to being in a home with other dogs but would probably be just fine as an "only child" so that she doesn't have to share the love of her person. She gets along with cats and does great with kids.

Frances was adopted in October but was returned because she has a taste for live chickens! So... we now know she needs a home with no chickens. The adopting family adored her but was not able to keep their chickens safe with Frances taking advantage of any opportunity to go after them. Who doesn't love chicken (although most of us southerners prefer them fried!)??

She is crate trained and has nice house manners, although she will occasionally tinkle in the house if she's not taken outside at regular intervals. After all, being an inside dog is something she never was allowed to experience the first several years of her life.

If you are interested in making this wonderful gal a permanent part of your family, please complete an adoption application via our website, www.cofas.org. The adoption fee is $165. **PLEASE NOTE THAT COMPLETING THE APPLICATION IS THE FIRST STEP AND MUST BE DONE BEFORE A MEETING CAN BE SET UP. Adopting is a commitment for the natural life of the dog.

If you have questions not answered in the info above, please email me at fostermomjudy@gmail.com. Frances' foster home is located in Loganville, GA.
