Olive Poodle & Chihuahua Mix Valley Village, CA

Olive is a 15-month-old Chihuahua/Miniature Poodle/Pomeranian mix. She is very smart and fully house trained - (she rings a bell to let her foster know that she needs to go outside!) She knows a lot of commands including, sit, down, stay, find it, leave it, come, and rest. Olive is a lap dog, and loves to be by your side at all times. She will snuggle with you on the couch and sleeps soundly all night in her foster’s bed.

Olive is very cautious with new people, but generally warms up easily. She would be best in a calm home without a lot of commotion. She needs a home that has no children and no other dogs. However, she gets along well with the cats in her foster home and loves to chase them all over the house! Olive suffers from anxiety and fear towards dogs, new people and unfamiliar situations which can result in nipping. She also has a history of food aggression which seems to be mostly resolved, except for rare instances when someone tries to take something out of her mouth.

Olive will need to be placed in a home that has the financial resources and dedication to work on all of her issues with a trainer. Currently, Olive is not a dog that you can take to a dog park or restaurant. She needs to learn to be comfortable with her surroundings and herself before she can be brought out into public.

Olive is truly a loving, happy dog, but she needs to be with someone who is aware of her special needs and is willing to train with patience and love, and without distractions of children or other dogs.
