Meet Marchie
Marchie is a 2 year old Great Dane, born Nov. 27, 2016, to a Great Dane named Lucy Loo - also an alumni of the rescue.
March recently came back to the rescue through no fault of her own. She got sick with intestinal issues, and her owners could no longer afford her emergency vetting care, so we brought her back into the rescue to save her life.
Marchie is good with other dogs, big and small, but she is hyperactive and can be dominant and pushy toward them too. She needs a strong leader, one that can pick up on her signals and who will enforce rules and discipline with her - as when left to her own devices she can be a wild one. She will walk all over a pushover.
She is great with kids. She previously lived with both. However, because of her energy levels, we feel she would be best in a home with kids out of the infant/toddler stages, as she may accidentally knock them down.
She’s a little nervous and intimidated by new people at first but warms up quickly. It takes Marchie a while to settle down if her human isn’t present.
Marchie is housetrained and potty trained and good on a leash. She’s a loyal, loving girl. She just needs stability and consistency, and she will flourish.
