Zarina Boxer & Brittany Spaniel Mix Oklahoma City, OK

Zarina has a mentor that comes to our facility to spend time with her a couple of times each week. This is what he says about her , "Zarina is an amazing dog who just happens to make an awful first impression when people meet her inside the facility. She's not a huge fan of strangers walking by her crate (who would be?), so she rather forcefully tells them to keep on walkin'.
Out of her crate, in the company of people she knows/trusts, she's a completely
different dog. She's affectionate, obedient, and fun loving. She's also highly
motivated by hot dogs. She's not perfect, so unfortunately any perfect people will need to look for another dog. She's wonderfully flawed, and I love her more and moreevery time I take her out. She would do best with an active owner with some patience at first, and would make a fantastic lake buddy. She deserves someone who is willing to get to know her, and work with her eccentricities, but anyone willing to put in the effort will be rewarded with a loyal and deserving companion."

Update: Zarena was adopted and returned because her family was moving. They said she is completely housebroken, likes to ride in the car, is calm, very well behaved, great with all dogs and all age children. She is somewhat shy at first when meeting new people.

How cute is the underbite on this girl??? Zarina is a wonderful two year old Boxer/Brittany/possibly Vizsla mix girl. She is housebroken and good in her crate when you are gone. She would be great with children and all people. She is very social and friendly and LOVES all other dogs. She just wants to play, play, play. She would really like to have a doggie playmate in her new home but if not she MUST get to go to the dog park and hang out very often. Her foster family takes her for walks in the neighborhood and she is learning her leash manners very quickly. She loves toys, especially the squeaky ones and her nylabone to chew on. She will play fetch all day long; tennis ball, frisbee, doesn't matter the object, she will bring it back for you to throw it again. We think she would make a great hiking/camping dog! She must have an active household. VERY FUN girl. She is about 35 pounds but needs to put on a few pounds.

Adoption fee for all dogs and puppies is $120.00 each, which includes spay/neuter, vaccinations (including all puppy boosters for puppies under 4 months), worming, flea/tick treatment if needed, and collar/leash/tags.
