Puma Domestic Short Hair Cambridge, MA

Puma is a very striking black cat with amber undertones. He is very curious- you may come home to find him exploring a cabinet. He came to Broken Tail Rescue covered in fleas and scabs from itching, bald, and underweight, but he's recovered to reach his full handsome potential. He loves to be brushed and has about 15 favorite toys, though his absolute favorites are the cat dancer and small mice. He's got a loud purr that hardly ever stops! He doesn't scratch furniture and never jumps on the counter! He's taken well to wearing a harness and is getting braver at exploring outside.

Puma would do best in a cat-savvy household with a family that can respect his threshold for over-arousal during petting and play time. He has hyperthyroidism, a very common disease in older cats, which is currently managed with a special diet,

Puma does well around other cats and dogs.
