Meet Petey
Meet Petey! Petey is a beautiful golden retriever/collie mix who is approximately 3 years old. Are you looking for a sweet, affectionate, adoring soul mate who will look lovingly at you with deep amber eyes and encourage you to hug his silky coat? A best friend who will romp with you and play with glee, be silly and make you laugh, and then snuggle up with you for quiet time? Petey is ready to be that dog for his forever family! He is a show-stopper and heart-melter all in one!
Petey came to us feeling unsure about the world and lacking in self-confidence. Through positive-reinforcement training, patience, consistency, and unconditional love, he has blossomed into a truly remarkable dog! Everyone adores him and we are excited for his forever family to find him!
Petey will need a secure structurally-fenced yard to run and play with his family, a family who will commit to continue his positive force-free training, humans who have experience having family dogs and who are devoted to keeping Petey feeling loved and safe. A family who is home more often than away will be best as Petey bonds very closely to his loved ones and enjoys their company.
Petey is fantastic but should be the only dog in the home. No kitties, please.
The adoption fee of $250.00 will include spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate/required vaccinations and any other necessary medical treatment to assure a healthy new pup for your family. Although we make the best guess on the breed and size of our dogs, because they come from shelters, we can never be completely certain of the genetic makeup of the dog. All we can tell you for sure is that they are 100% RESCUED! Petey is being fostered in West Chicago, IL.
