Hi! I'm Zinfandel! I'm a very happy and exuberant boy! My friends at The Animal League can't figure out why I'm still here! Yes, I'm pretty active - and I'd prefer to be an only dog, but there are LOTS of active people who only want one doggy!
I'm very smart and I learn quickly with confident, dog-savvy people. I'm pretty much housetrained, but need a little work on the leash (I'm getting better everyday!!).

When I arrived, I was heartworm positive. I've received treatment and made a full recovery!!! So there's no reason I can't go home now!

I hope I can find a home soon, I really love my friends, but I want a family of my own!

I am a Have-A-Heart Fundraiser pet. My additional fee helps The Animal League treat heartworm positive dogs. I am NOT heartworm positive, myself. All our dogs are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered, receive monthly flea and heartworm preventative, and are micro-chipped with registration.

Please keep in mind that puppies under 16 weeks (4 months) will require an approved application prior to a Meet + Greet, as will all canines in foster care. To determine how old a pet is, please see birthdate above. To determine location, please call our center at 352-429-6334.

If you are planning to drive out to visit a specific doggie, please call the Adoption Center in advance (352-429-6334) to ensure they are ready for a Meet & Greet. Most of our dogs are located at the Adoption Center in Groveland FL, and can be seen during business hours. We are open Monday, Friday, Saturday 10-6, and Sunday 10-5. We are CLOSED Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.

In addition to the pets at our center, we do have some pets in foster care. Please call before making the trip out to avoid disappointment.
