Meet Lola

**NWFL area adoption only**

Hello, My name is Lola... and yes, I'm a bit of a showgirl!

Don't let the gray on my muzzle fool you, I'm no old lady......I'm about 6 years old. I'm somewhat short in stature, but you definitely couldn't tell by my personality. I am very playful with my canine roommates, canine and feline.

I am a Velcro girl to my human, I'm starved for affection and want to be the center of attention at all times. I have been known to stick my big head in the middle and squeeze my big body between my human and other dogs in order to hog all the love and affection.

I have a tendency to eat and drink too quickly. And when I drink from the water bowl I love to stick my entire head in the bowl and play around, it always seems to get a rise out of my foster mom!

Even though I weigh 130 lbs, I have a lot of nervous energy and it can take me awhile to settle down and trust people. I can be a big, fat baby at times and many things scare me. Loud noises, sudden movements, men with hats, cats........I'll often hide behind or climb on top of my foster mom when I'm scared.

When I am scared or unsure of things, I tend to low growl or bark. It's the only thing I know to do.. but I would never hurt someone. It's all just noise. Really, I'm a big baby. Once I understand you're not going to hurt me, we're cool.

I would do best in a home with other submissive playmates, as I am an attention hog. Also, I will flat out sit on my doggy roommates. And on you too. I am totally unaware of my size.

When I first came into the rescue I had a neglected skin condition called Alopecia. I am all healed and my fur is back, I wanna stay beautiful so I may need meds whenever I have an allergy flare up.

At the end of the day, all I really want is to be loved on. I spent a long time being 1 of 100's...... I was saved from a puppy mill in Fort Walton County where I was just a number to some not so nice people. I can't wait to have a family to call my own.......

Could you be my new person or family?
