Charlotte Labrador Retriever Mix Elkton, MD

Charlotte is a Lab mix whose approximate date of birth is January 30, 2016, and she came from a North Carolina shelter. Charlotte is spayed, up to date on vaccines, house trained and crate trained. She weighs about 50 pounds. She has just recently been treated for heartworm disease. Charlotte enjoys playing with friendly dogs and loves to swim. She has not been exposed to cats but her high prey drive probably makes her a poor choice for a cat household. Charlotte loves to go for long leashed walks but otherwise prefers to stay inside, close to her people. Charlotte is a dog who absolutely loves life! She is funny and silly and extremely smart. She knows her basic commands and is a quick learner. She enjoys a good cuddle and gives soft kisses with her purple tongue.

Charlotte is timid with strangers, especially men, so very slow introductions are a must. She also would not be a good fit for a household with children, as the younger humans can make her anxious. Charlotte does have a history of abuse but is learning to trust people who are kind to her. There are magic powers in her beautiful gold eyes and once you get to really know her you're likely to fall in love. Charlotte is a medium energy dog. She's always up for walks and play time but she's just as happy to nap or chew on one of her bones. She has been completely trustworthy in the house and sleeps quietly through the night in her own bed next to her foster's bed.
